Day 8- seeing Kata Tjuta and Uluru

We all awoke early again

so headed off for breakfast and drove to see Kata Tjuta (the Olgas)
These formations are grand and immense, absolutely stunning. We were met with strong winds (lucky I had layers packed!) as we walked through Walpa Gorge, lined by enormous rock faces dotted with growth. The floor of the gorge was rocky but also home to quite a large amount of vegetation.
I'll let the pictures speak!

This gives a sense of scale

Aimee trying to show how she was flapping like a and sock?

We also walked the Valley of the winds.

This was a magical space, after walking for 20-30 minutes we had this lush valley below.

We had a quick stop at Uluru as well, thieves photos do not do it justice, we plan to do some more visiting there tomorrow.

I'm confident that these images don't really do this place any justice, the kids did well today, it has been a few long days.
We have well and truly enjoyed the benefits of this evenings buffet dinner (including buffet dessert bar including chocolate fountain, just as well I walked over 20 000 steps today!
