Day 4 leaving Victoria and into South Australia

We caught a glimpse of the sunrise this morning before leaving Mildura.

Greeted with the sunrise in Mildura this morning

Many kilometres travelled again today. And managed to see some emus before our first stop of Renmark.

In Renmark we stopped to re supply with fruit and veggies after coming through the fruit fly quarantine zone. Then it was onward through a range of different landscapes.

We stopped at Burra for lunch, a very pretty heritage copper mining town, probably a nice place to stay and have a better look around.

We followed the green signs to Port Augusta, there were times that it seemed like a bit of a maze following one road and then heading off for the next but it made for. Very interesting and enjoyable drive.

This was a huge double story train!

Once we arrived in Port Augusta we headed out for a look around, unfortunately we were too late to the Wadlata outback centre but we went to the Australian arid lands botanic garden which was very pretty and we saw a shingle back lizard roaming around there.

Also climbed up the water tower lookout
