Day 3 off to Mildura

The landscape today was

F            L             A             T

That would have to be our word for the day, we experienced a large amount of flat Australia, understandable as we did cross the Hay plain.
Approx 550 km today.

Flat

Flat in the other direction too!

We left Wagga Wagga under sunny skies but at 12 degrees made it a little chilly. While we saw lots of this big wide country we didn't have many experiences in the towns that we passed through.
Around Darlington Point we saw many cotton farms with cotton plants covered in bursting cotton bolls, we also saw a crop duster in action.

On two occasions we were slowed down with cattle crossing the road.
West of hay we stopped for lunch which wasn't too bad, except for the flies, I'd forgotten just how much I hate flies, I'd better toughen up regarding that!

Our mid afternoon arrival in Mildura gave us a chance to go for a walk along the Murray river this afternoon.

Today's wildlife included, alpacas, horses, sheep, cattle, emus (which I didn't manage to photograph!) Pelicans, ducks and a swan.
We found a garden gnome in the bath this afternoon
