Back to the motorway to keep heading south.
Before we realised it we had crossed the border and we're back in NSW. Missed that photo op too! It has been quite overcast for us today and we actually had significant rain today, (only the second day of any rain all trip but quite a lot more today than before).
more roads....
We took the opportunity to stop and visit Brett's Grandma in Grafton, just in time for lunch. It was a good chance to catch up and for the kids to see Great Grandma again and to run in her enormous back yard.

Our family tradition of photos on the stairs (just like the ones daddy has!)
We left at about 3 and continued southward to Coffs Harbour. Our wildlife spotting has reduced to mostly cattle, sheep and horses although we did see goats and deer today. We also saw banana and pineapple plantations along with sugar cane.
Our final night of accommodation and we have quite possibly the largest room we have had all trip, not in town, 6km North at Korora, on the beach, as I sit here typing with the glass door open, the waves gently crashing it is bliss! The glass of bubbles and the dark chocolate to celebrate the end of our trip help too!
Like all serious east Coast families who travel north we took the kids to the Big Banana this afternoon for a quick look around, a chocolate dipped frozen banana and a photo at the great "BIG" icon. The kids had a great time! Only problem is that they were disappointed that hey didn't get a swim in the pool. With a bit of luck we will be up early enough to have a quick walk along the beach in the morning.
I am trying to get some photos loaded but the internet is not being friendly, at least now it is letting me on, earlier it wasn't interested at all!
So tomorrow we head home, back to reality!
Lewis has had some times of being home sick but assures us he has enjoyed the adventure.
Aimee has had a great time.
Brett and I have loved it.
I have learned so much about so many places but have really only scratched the surface!
I look forward to more travelling!
But it's not over yet! I still have lots of pictures to load, more travels to plan, and of course somewhere in the vicinity of 500+ km to go.
