Days 13 & 14 - Yeppoon

i have to try and condense two days into this blog and at the moment have no real access to photos, but here it goes

On Monday we travelled to Yeppoon and it rained, I mean really rained, I mean I can't see the road I hope Brett can, rained. But of course being the tropics it did not last forever.
But
Then it rained
And
It rained.

We have had a bit of moisture this part of the trip because it has rained .

'Timewise our trip wasn't too bad to Yeppoon. We arrived to our accomodation, the one I booked (there is another story there!) & checked in. We had a bit of a settle in and I had a loook around only to find that the restaurants locally were all closed. So we went for a short walk to the local fish market, closed. We figured a trip to Woolies to grab a cooked chook, none left! Ok so we could do some sandwich/roll type of thing! No bread. Thank goodness our kids love a cheese plate so that was dinner.

Off to sleep and, it rained!

Today we had decided to head out to the crocodile farm, Koorana,  which once we got there and got in was quite good. A little dodgy looking at first but a really good experience where we learned quite a lot about the breeding of crocodiles and how the farm works. We were lucky and saw some eggs being collected from the nests (this was possible because it had been raining ☔️) see the rain is good. And we also learned how saltwater crocs are much more active after the rain. We all had a chance to hold Harley and also ate croc!

By the time we got back to Yeppoon the rain had cleared, I went for a run on Roslyn Bay beach, I almost got blown away! and Brett took the kids to the pool.

We dined in at the restaurant (which was open tonight) and had a yummy meal but the front of house staff were truly strugggling.

The rain seems to have held off a bit although the wind tonight is dreadful, hopefully it will be out of puff by the morning..

Hopefully I can add photos soon.
