Day 4 Christmas Eve @BrisVegas!

And here we are in Brisbane, Christmas Eve 2016.

What a big day we have had, we started the morning completing Parkrun at Yamba at 7,
I had my own pacer today, I slowed him down but he got me to a PB! Nearly under 35 mins

home for breakfast, a quick pick up of some prawns and then back on the road heading north again towards Brisbane. Much less traffic today and lots of Christmas carols sung on our journey.

Leaving Yamba

After gaining an hour as we crossed the border we arrived in Brisbane even earlier than we had expected and checked in (to our surprise) to the same apartments we stayed in a few years ago which is great because we had a great time here last time too!
There's a Wookiee in an elf hat on Lewis's bed

A hasty unpack so we could set up the Christmas tree,

a quick lunch, a grocery shop and then a swim! Followed by a walk across the river to the Botanic Gardens and a look around the city which surprisingly was open until 5 on Christmas Eve.
Queens Street Mall
Myer windows (which seemed very Melbourne based but they were quite magical nonetheless

We have covered well over 25000 steps today so we have two very tired little poppets who have left out their Santa sacks, something for the jolly fellow to eat and tucked on down into their beds. (And I failed to read theNight before Christmas-first year I've done it, bad parenting 101!)
Ready for bed

Ready for Santa

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas Eve xxx
