Day 2 - bound for Wagga Wagga

We said farewell to Grandma and Grandad and headed towards Wagga Wagga.

First stop was Murrumbateman for morning tea, and time for Lewis to cover his face with chocolate (it's a gift that he can get so dirty from one biscuit!).

Next stop was Gundegai where we had some lunch and the obligatory photo with the dog on the tuckerbox.

Final stop for the day was Wagga Wagga which as many of you would know is the place of many crows. We went for a stroll along the Murrumbidgee River in search of platypus, we didn't find any but we did find Wagga beach and some great sculptures.

Peacocks for Miss Bianca

A trip to the information centre set us off with a heap of activities to do (time would be our enemy!).

We ended up going to the Botanic Gardens and had a visit to the Wagga zoo, (within the gardens, free entry, aviaries, native animals, a great little offering from a lovely little town).

Kids had a ball and had a chance to run off the been in a car crazies. We headed back to our accomodation and had a delicious dinner, and managed a wine or two for $4 thanks to Happy Hour!
A great day all round, we will be very happy if things continue like this!
We saw horses, cows, sheep and goats in our travels today and travelled another 300 ish km
